Value of Imagination
(Option #2)
Everyone
has a different way to deal with stress, hardship, and adversity. How people cope with life makes a person who
they are and how they deal with the hard times.
All throughout Joy’s life she has had to overcome very difficult
obstacles and she has dealt with them in different ways. She has gone to art to
get away from the real world and the problems that she faces. She finds painting on canvas calming because
she is no longer in the real world, but in her own. During the time she paints, she can do and
paint what she wants without being told what to do. While she paints she is set
free from all the worries in her world and does what makes her the happiest.
Another way she overcomes the hard times is writing what she really feels on
paper through poems. She uses different ways to state what she is feeling and
what is happening in her life. She
writes all her worries into poems in an attempt to put her thoughts, feelings,
and worries onto paper. Every time Joy
paints or writes it uplifts her worries.
If Joy did not have these special hobbies to get away from the real
world she probably would’ve been brought down so much during the course of her
life. She has had to let go of her
worries and by going into her imagination of painting and writing she is able
to live her life for herself and no one else.

You made very great connections with Joy's spirituality of ways she overcome who she is. I think the same way of how she writes all her poems into writings. Sometimes I do the same but not like a poem. I write mine as a dairy or as a
ReplyDeletejournal. When I write things down I feel like I'm releasing my anger if I had anger.
I really enjoyed reading your blog. i loved the way you explained why she choose to use imagination for an escape from reality. To not only escape reality but also how to deal with the stress and issues going around her.
